Delivery of cable drum trailers to De Lijn

The Belgian national transport organisation De Lijn recently ordered three ‘Cable Drum Trailers’ for use in incidents and/or minor maintenance and repair work in the three operational areas: Ostend, Gentbrugge and Antwerp.

These trailers are designed to unroll new contact wire under tension using resistance control. They can also roll up worn contact wires, which can be easily removed thanks to the removable reel.
The trailers have a total weight of 3.5 tons, but thanks to the smart design, they still offer a load capacity of 1,900 kg.
